Victorian rosewood sewing box with brass plaque and mother-of-pearl escutcheon. The box opens to reveal a lift out tray with various compartments, 3 compartments have lids with mother-of-pearl button handles, some lids and cushions covered in red velvet matching the fold-out section fitted to the underside of the lid. One side below contains a secret drawer with three compartments. Working original lock with key. English, circa 1860.
